• Property must be photo shoot ready at the time of the appointment; otherwise, it will be photographed or filmed as is. The photographer cannot wait for you to clean up or come back later. No refunds will be issued.

A photo shoot takes typically between 30-90 minutes. However, the length of time depends on the number of photos ordered in the photo package and the property’s size. The time required can be discussed at the time of your booking. Make sure to have the property ready for the photo shoot before the photographer arrives. 

It is best to reserve at least 7 days in advance to secure your preferred date and time. Twilight photo shoots are very popular and tend to fill up quickly.

Yes, we also take professional photos of empty homes. We encourage you to consider ordering our virtual staging photos to add realistic 3D furniture to the photos that we take. Otherwise, we can take great pictures of an empty home.

No, you don’t have to be present at the photo shoot as long as you make sure to provide the photographer with access to the property. However, we highly recommend that you or the owner be present at the photo shoot to ensure that you get the exact photos and angles you want.

Home Online Tours has the copyright and grants the client the right to use the copyright for any purpose after we receive full payment. If we offer you complimentary photos, our work has non-transferable rights, meaning that you cannot transfer or give the photos that we give you to a 3rd party such as a realtor. If you pay for our work, you can use your photos on MLS, websites, social media, for printing purposes, etc. Remember to give us photo-credit if our photos get featured in magazines.

Usually, we do not recommend photographing closets since they don’t always look great in photos. However, we will do so at your request.

You can select the exact photos you want to be uploaded for editing with the photographer at the photoshoot. If you don’t, then the photographer will upload the best photos for editing. You will not be able to change your photos after the edited ones have been delivered to you. 

If the weather is bad on the day of your scheduled shoot (i.e. heavy rain), you will be given the option to reschedule for the next available open shoot date. If you chose to proceed with the shoot as scheduled, regardless of the weather, please understand that the listed pricing does not include fixing photos for rain on patios, decks, driveways, etc. and the standard guarantee will no longer apply.

Photo shoots are usually scheduled on weekdays from 9:00 am until 6:00 pm. Photo shoot appointments are also available on the weekends and on some holidays. We can also schedule twilight/sunset photo shoots (note, the exact time of twilight varies through the year). If you have a special request outside of those hours, please put in your preferred time/date when you place your order online, or send an email to see if we can accommodate your needs.

Yes, we retain the copyrights as is standard practice in the photography industry. You purchase a single-use, non-transferable, non-exclusive image license. For real estate agents, that image license is good for the duration of your listing and expires once the listing is sold, canceled, or reassigned to another agent. For all others, the license does not expire. This is a non-transferable license, meaning you, as the licensee, may not sell, give or loan the photos to any other party. You do have wide leverage to use them for your marketing and promotional needs. However, this license is unilateral and non-exclusive, meaning the copyright holder may sell multiple licenses for the same images.

No, drones are for exterior use only. If you wish to have an interior video, we will use professional videography gear, such as a gimbal, dolly on wheels, and video camera.

All drone use for commercial use, such as real estate, must comply with FAA laws. You risk getting fined by the FAA for any law violations if you use a drone photographer that does not have the required FAA license or liability insurance. The FAA has stated that unlicensed drone pilots can face fines starting at $1,100 per occurrence, and those who knowingly hire unlicensed pilots can face fines starting at $11,000.

The maximum legal height/altitude for a drone for commercial use is 400 ft. In some restricted areas, the drone is only allowed to fly less than 100 ft. If you want aerial photos/video taken at a higher altitude, you can consider helicopter photos/video. A helicopter can fly around 1000-4000 ft., depending on what area of air space it is. Home Online Tours does not offer Helicopter flyover videography.

Yes, you can include photos of the amenities as part of the ordered photo package. Please instruct the on-site photographer that you also want photos taken of, i.e., the front of the building, lobby, pool, gym, etc.
